What an incredible stretch it has been for the Layups 4 Life community. Following the conclusion of our back-to-back spring events, we are proud to share the impact of your support and the progress we are making together in the fight against cancer.
Between our 2nd Annual Charity Pickleball Tournament in April and our 6th Annual “Drive Out Cancer” Charity Golf Outing in May, our community came out in full force. Thanks to your participation, registrations, and generosity, these two events combined raised over $8,000.
Nearing a Historic Milestone
This $8,000 achievement brings us a massive step closer to a milestone we have been working toward since day one: $200,000 in lifetime fundraising.
While the milestones are exciting, what matters most is where these funds go. Every dollar raised through Layups 4 Life directly supports vital cancer research and clinical trials, helping fund breakthrough medical innovations and providing hope to patients and families navigating a diagnosis.
Event Recaps
2nd Annual Charity Pickleball Tournament
On Sunday, April 26th, we gathered at Pickleball Palace in Whippany, NJ. Over 20 teams stepped onto the courts for a competitive round-robin tournament. From experienced players to the beginner level participants, the energy and sportsmanship in the building were exceptional.
6th Annual “Drive Out Cancer” Golf Outing
On Friday, May 8th, we moved to the links at Flanders Valley Golf Course. Golfers kicked off the day with a 9:00 AM shotgun start, taking on 18 holes of competition and course challenges, followed by a BBQ lunch. It was a beautiful day for golf dedicated to a much larger cause.
